ABOUT ME

Ali Downes has over 20 years experience playing electric guitar in bands and teaching students of all abilities. The approach is simple - get students to a place where they are having fun on the instrument and playing like their idols. No technical jargon, endless theory, just a simple musical foundation to help you build your playing  to a level where you look forward to picking up your guitar every single day! 

I specialise in teaching beginners and intermediate players who are looking to get to a level where they can improvise a solo in any key or put together some killer chord combinations, and to feel confident around other musicians.

I have a variety of guitars and amps, so even if you don't have any gear yet, there's no need to worry!
